DENTAL IMPLANTS NORTH PALM BEACH

Disease and trauma can cause dental emergencies and sometimes even lead to the loss of a tooth. Using dental implants we can return health, beauty, and function to the mouths of patients who are missing one or more of their natural teeth.

If you are missing one or more teeth and you would like to learn more about how dental implants could improve both your oral health and your quality of life, please contact us today.

ARE YOU A CANDIDATE FOR DENTAL IMPLANTS?

Are you missing a tooth? If so, dental implants  may be the ideal choice for you. Dental implants are  versatile; they can be used to support a single crown, a dental bridge, or even a full set of dentures. Because dental implants are embedded in the jaw, they provide support ,strength and stability, replicating the entire missing tooth from root to crown.

CAN MY BONE SUPPORT AN IMPLANT?

Ideal candidates should be in good general and oral health with gum tissue free of periodontal disease.

A dental implant needs adequate bone quantity and quality in order to be placed successfully. X-rays and CT scans, as well as clinical exam will determine whether you have enough good bone to place an implant. Patients with inadequate jaw bone density to support a dental implant may need  a bone grafting procedure in order to qualify for implant dentistry.Implants usually require about 3-4 months of healing time. And during this time, your body will actually begin to build new, healthy bone around the implant. Once this process is complete, we can begin to restore (place a crown)  the implant.

HOW LONG DO DENTAL IMPLANTS LAST?

Dental implants have approximately a 97% success rate and will generally last a lifetime. Although nothing is forever, typically for a patient 45 years or older, dental implants are for life. The actual implant thus can last for a number of years.

TAKING CARE OF YOUR DENTAL IMPLANT

Dental implants look, feel, and function like natural teeth, and should be cared for in the same way. At-home oral care and regularly scheduled dental visits will help to ensure the protection of your investment. Periodic follow-ups will allow us to monitor your implant, ensuring that your surrounding teeth and gums remain healthy.
